What is Ferrite Core
Ferrite core is a kind of high-frequency magnetic conductive material (the principle is the same as that of silicon steel sheet, but it is only used in high-frequency environment). It is mainly used as high-frequency transformer (such as switching power supply, line output transformer, etc.), high-frequency magnetic ring (for anti-interference), etc. to increase the permeability and improve the inductance quality factor. It is used in the transformer. Ferrite cores are mainly composed of iron (FE), manganese (MN) and zinc (Zn). They are usually called Mn Zn ferrite. Because the annular ferrite core has no air gap and the cross-sectional area is the same, the magnetic effect is very high.
The ferrite magnetic ring has many specifications and sizes, which can be selected according to the material of the magnetic ring, and different coatings can be used to simplify the winding and improve the breakdown voltage.
Ferrite cores are made of dense and homogeneous ceramic non-metallic magnetic materials with low coercivity, also known as soft ferrite. It consists of iron oxide (Fe2O3) and oxides or carbonate compounds of one or several other metals (e.g. manganese, zinc, nickel, magnesium). Ferrite raw materials are pressed, sintered at 1300 ℃ and finally machined into finished magnetic cores that meet the application requirements. Compared with other types of magnetic materials, ferrite has the advantages of high permeability, high resistance and low eddy current loss in a wide frequency range. These material characteristics make ferrite an ideal material for manufacturing high-frequency transformers, broadband transformers, adjustable inductors and other high-frequency circuits from 10kHz to 50MHz.

Application of Ferrite Core
The ferrite core can be wound with coils to make inductors or transformers, which are widely used in instruments, communication equipment and household appliances. There are many material brands and geometric shapes of ferrite cores, including cylindrical, I-shaped, hat shaped, single hole, double hole, four hole, U-shaped, can shaped, E-shaped, EI shaped, EC shaped, RM shaped, PQ shaped and EP shaped, as shown in the attached drawings. The magnetic cores of each shape form a series for users to choose. Ferrite cores can be selected from a wide range of materials and shapes according to different magnetic parameters. Due to their low magnetic loss at high frequencies, they are widely used in switching mode power supplies (SMPS), radio frequency (RF) transformers and inductors. Ferrite cores of various shapes and sizes are used in inductors, pulse transformers, high-frequency transformers and noise filters in high-frequency power supply and high-quality communication markets. Ferrite is characterized by high permeability, good temperature characteristics and low decay rate.
Difference between Ferrite Magnet and NdFeB magnet
Ferrite magnet is a kind of metal oxide with ferromagnetism. In terms of electrical properties, the resistivity of ferrite is much larger than that of metal and alloy magnetic materials, and it also has higher dielectric properties. The magnetic properties of ferrite also show high permeability at high frequency. Therefore, ferrite has become a widely used non-metallic magnetic material in the field of high frequency and weak current. It belongs to non-metallic magnetic materials and is a composite oxide (or orthoferrite) of magnetic iron oxide and one or more metal oxides. The magnetic force is usually 800-1000 Gauss, which is often used in speakers, speakers and other instruments.
